Here is our large pumpkin with 22 lines.
One student noticed that the lines all seemed to connect to the stem. Great observation!
Today we began by making predictions of how many seeds we thought were in the small and large pumpkin. Here is one student's data sheet with her predictions.
After we predicted, we cut the pumpkins open to see the seeds. Then we made estimates.

This is my data sheet- I displayed it on the smart board as we conducted our research. My predictions were much less reasonable than some of my students. Great work guys!!!
